They have quite a few things posted about how they switched their mixing bowls to a biodegradable version, and how their utensils are made from corn and sugars. The last thing I'll say is that I appreciate their green initiatives. But I felt bad for tossing everything else. I finished off the fish since it was the most expensive part of the bowl. Whether it is sampling international flavors at standout seaside restaurants, enjoying creative cocktails while listening to live jazz, raising a pint at beachside breweries, or enjoying a casual coffee, breakfast or brunch al fresco, Long Beach delivers a culinary experience sure to please any taste. The bowl really was too much for me to eat.
The rice seemed a bit old - it was crunchy - so maybe it wasn't old, just undercooked.
The fish was fresh and the sauce was flavorful. I got the spicy tuna and the salmon with the spicy mayo sauce. I went with the small - 1-2-2 proportions. I made my husband go first - he got the medium, which came with one and a half scoops of base (he chose white rice), three scoops of protein and two 'sides'. They were empty when we arrived, so we were able to start building our poke bowls right away. The restaurant was on the same block as our hotel, which made it very convenient.
To be fair, I wasn't really hungry, but we did need sustenance before our late-night outing. I ordered the small, and it was overflowing with food and way too much to eat.
